Peel District School Board Strike Update – Dec 8, 2012.

All Peel District School Board schools are open on Monday – December 10, 2012.

Have your children been impacted by the current action? Mine have. I just paid a small fortune to rent a flute so my daughter could be in the school band. The flute hasn’t even arrived yet, and band practise is already cancelled.  According to my daughter, band practise will happen during music class, which only happens about once every three weeks.  I am not happy about this.

What’s your opinion on teacher’s strikes?? Are the teachers striking for the kids’ benefits or for their own?
Parents will be informed of any changes to regular school routine.

  1. Claire M. D. says:

I don’t know much about the teachers’ strikes in Canada but I am behind the impending strike action in the UK. I have no problem with teachers going on strike to benefit themselves, they are overworked, underpaid and undervalued enough. When teachers’ welfare is attacked, pupils’ welfare is attacked.
